Bunker Management

Optimizing the highest operational cost of the voyage.

Securing Quality Fuel Across the Global Network

In modern maritime operations, bunker fuel frequently represents more than fifty percent of a vessel’s total voyage expenses. Fluctuating global oil prices, strict environmental regulations, and the absolute risk of off-spec fuel make bunker procurement one of the most critical aspects of commercial ship management. At Dev Maritime Pvt. Ltd., the Bunker Management division ensures fleets are fueled safely, legally, and with maximum economic efficiency.

Spot-market intermediaries are entirely bypassed. Instead, deeply established, direct relationships with tier-one physical fuel suppliers and major refineries across the globe are leveraged. This direct-to-source approach ensures that whether a vessel is calling at major hubs in Asia, the Middle East, Europe, or the Americas, guaranteed supply volumes are secured at highly competitive, transparent rates.

Comprehensive Fuel Supply Solutions

Modern marine engines require exact fuel specifications to operate without catastrophic damage. The full spectrum of essential, compliant marine fuels tailored to any vessel class is supplied efficiently and safely.

  • Low Sulphur Fuel Oil (LSFO): Uninterrupted access to VLSFO (Very Low Sulphur Fuel Oil) and ULSFO is ensured, strictly complying with the critical IMO 2020 global sulphur cap regulations.
  • Marine Gas Oil (MGO): Premium distillates required for operations within tightly regulated Emission Control Areas (ECAs) and for specialized auxiliary engine requirements are reliably provided.
  • Intermediate Fuel Oil (IFO): For vessels equipped with approved exhaust gas cleaning systems (scrubbers), reliable, cost-effective supplies of high-sulphur heavy fuel oils are secured.

Quality Assurance & Risk Mitigation

Receiving contaminated or off-spec bunker fuel can lead to devastating engine failure, immense repair costs, and prolonged off-hire periods. Dev Maritime aggressively mitigates this risk. It is ensured that all fuel supplied through the global network rigorously meets ISO 8217 standards.

Bunker procurement is transformed from a volatile operational risk into a stable, highly optimized commercial advantage.

Furthermore, in conjunction with the surveying division, robust bunker quantity surveys (BQS) are provided during bunkering operations. This provides independent verification that the exact volume of fuel purchased is the exact volume delivered to the vessel’s tanks, eliminating the financial drain of short deliveries and ensuring voyage economics remain precisely on budget.
